Phacelia spp, or Wild Heliotrope, is a classic low desert spring wildflower that creates a carpet of purple blooms March-June. This low-growing plant only reaches a maximum of 2 ft in height, and is found on dry, rocky slopes, in sandy and gravely soil in desert scrub and shrubland habitat at 2000-5000 ft. This plant blooms March-June.
