Cirsium ochrocentrum, or Yellow-Spine Thistle, grows up to 3ft tall and is found in semidesert grasslands and woodlands between 4500-8000 ft. This perennial thistle supports multiple pollinators including moths, native bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Its pink flowers bloom June-October. This thistle prefers full sun exposure and well-draining, disturbed soils.
