Viguiera dentata, or Toothleaf Goldeneye, is a perennial wildflower in the sunflower family that grows to be 5-6 ft tall and is found on dry slopes, roadsides, canyons and other disturbed areas below 7,500 ft. This lovely plant has triangular leaves with serrated edges and sand-paper textured surfaces that grow on the lower portions of the plant, and when it flowers June-October, showy yellow flowers are seen on tall leafless stems that emerge above the rest of the plant.
