Dermatophyllum secundiflorum, or Texas Mountain Laurel, is a tree native to Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico. This beautiful, slow-growing Fabaceae beauty grows to 10-25 ft high and flowers in spring. Does well in low to mid elevations. Found at sea level and can must be protected from frosts. Produces showy purple flowers and has poisonous large red conspicuous seeds. Plant in well draining soils, in full sun, low-medium water use. No shipping.
