Ericameria laricifolia, or Turpentine Bush, is a native perannial shrub that is found on rocky slopes, mesas, and in canyons between 3,000-6,000 ft. The narrow, resinous leaves exude a turpentine-like aroma when crushed. The plant produces dense clusters of small yellow flowers (mostly disc flowers, but some with narrow rays) from August-November. This is a fantastic pollinator generalist plant and it fills an important niche in the nectar landscape by providing food for pollinators in the late fall.
