Agastache wrightii, or Sonoran Giant Hyssop, is a low-growing aromatic mint that can reach 4 ft in height. Transplants well preferring clay or silty soils, likes standing water and tolerates heavy shade. It grows in canyon habitat between 3500-6000 ft. The small, pale-violet inflorescences bloom August-October and attract native bees. Plant in partial shade to full sun in well-draining soils.
