Fouquieria splendens, or Ocotillo, is a many stemmed shrublike plant, 6-13 ft tall. Found on dry, rocky or gravelly slopes and sandy plains from sea level to 5000 ft and flowers February-March. It has red-orange flowers in dense panicles at branch tips. Prefers full sun and low water requirements. Attracts hummingbirds, bees and moths. No shipping.
