Cirsium neomexicanum, or New Mexico Thistle, can grow up to 4 ft tall and is found in semidesert grassland, desert scrub, and woodland habitats between 1000-6500 ft. This fantastic pollinator generalist plant supports moths, native bees, butterflies and hummingbirds with its light purple flowers that bloom from March-September.
