Monarda citriodora, or Lemmon Beebalm, is an annual, aromatic mint with multiple whorled flower heads stacked along an elongated spike that grows up to 2 ft tall. The flower heads hold many small, purplish white flowers that are pollinated by native bees and butterflies when in bloom between July-October. Found on mesas, roadsides, and in woodland habitats between 4500-8000 ft, plant in partial shade.
