Sphaeralcea ambigua, or Desert Globemallow, is a perennial mallow that can grow to be 3 ft tall and is found in sandy, often disturbed soils in desertscrub habitats between 0-3500 ft. The bee-pollinated flowers are most commonly orange colored, but can range from pink to magenta and are seen in bloom from May-October. Often found on rocky slopes and along sandy washes, plant in full sun and in well-draining soils. No shipping.
