Desert Chia, native to the southwest, is a beautiful annual spring wildflower for the low desert that produces an edible seed. Plants grow to 2-3 ft tall and 1.5 ft wide, and are found in sandy and gravelly soils, often in washes, below 3500 ft. They bloom March-May. Sow seeds in the fall.
