Mimosa aculeaticarpa var. biuncifera, or Cat-Claw Mimosa, is a common shrub with small compounding leaflets and pink fluffy flowers. These shrubs have recurved prickles that resemble a cat’s claw and will catch on clothing. Cat-claw mimosa can be found on hillsides and washes between 3000-6000 ft in elevation. They are a food plant for both moth and butterfly larva. Low water needs. Plant in full sun. No shipping.
