Imperata Brevifolia, or California Satintail, is a native grass with wide, flat leaves and grows to be up to 4.5 ft tall. California satintail grows in wet and moist areas below 5000 ft such as springs, meadows, streams, and canyons. Although this grass used to be common in arid regions of the Southwest, it is becoming more and more rare due to housing and agriculture. Enjoys full sun to part shade. Medium to high water needs. No shipping.
