Gutierrezia sarothrae, or Broom Snakeweed, is a bright native subshrub and excellent hardy pollinator plant that grows to almost 3ft tall and wide and is distributed much of western north America into central Mexico. Bright yellow flowers are wonderful nectar sources for native bees and butterflies, and they flower May through October. Found on plains and slopes in almost any habitat from 3,000-7,000 ft elevation. Plant in a variety of soils in full sun.
