Arizone Madrone, or Arbutus arizonica, is a native tree that can grow up to 50 ft tall and 25 ft wide and is found in Madrean oak woodland habitats between 5,000-8,000 ft elevation. This tree has furrowed gray bark on the oldest parts of its trunk and smooth red bark on younger branches. The branch ends have smooth green, elongated leaves. This plant produces clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers when it blooms May-June, followed by colorful berries that are usually reddish and have a warty surface. Plant in partial shade with medium water. No shipping.
