Heuchera rubescens, or Alumroot, have a basal rosette of rounded leaves from which the taller flowering panicle emerges with many small, bell shaped white flowers. When in flower, coral bells can reach about 2 ft tall. It is found in woodland and riparian habitats growing out of rocky canyon walls and outcroppings between 4,000-12,000 ft. The plant blooms May-September and is pollinated by native bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Plant in partial to full shade in rocky, moist soils. Divides easily from the crown. No shipping.
